Our partnership with Ivanhoe Electric is transforming mineral exploration in Saudi Arabia. Using cutting-edge AI and advanced geophysical technologies, Maaden and Ivanhoe are exploring mineral resources faster and with greater precision. Together, we are leveraging innovation and enhancing efficiency to put Saudi Arabia on the map as a leading global hub for mineral exploration.
Mosaic Company
Our joint venture with Mosaic Company and SABIC to develop the $8 billion Wa’ad Al Shamal Fertilizer Complex has driven Saudi Arabia’s growth in the global phosphate market. The partnership has played a critical role in expanding fertilizer production, supporting sustainable agriculture and contributing to global food security. In 2024, Maaden concluded its purchase of Mosaic’s stake in in Ma'aden Wa'ad Al Shamal Phosphate Company(MWSPC) as it prepares for a new phase of growth.
Alcoa
Our partnership with Alcoa created a fully integrated high-efficiency aluminum production complex at Ras Al Khair, with a a $10.8 billion investment that reshaped Saudi Arabia’s industrial landscape. From bauxite mining all the way through to aluminum casting, this venture has positioned us as a globally significant aluminum producer. Alcoa’s legacy of innovation and operational excellence underpins our shared success, delivering sustainable solutions and value across the aluminum supply chain.
Joint Venture with Barrick Gold
Our partnership with Barrick Gold at the Jabal Sayid underground copper mine combines global mining expertise with local insight, advancing gold exploration and production in Saudi Arabia. Barrick’s world-class technical and operational capabilities has made significant contributions to the Kingdom’s mining sector, strengthening our ability to uncover and develop valuable resources.

Metso and Thyssenkrupp Uhde Sustainable Frame Agreement
Our collaboration with Metso and thyssenkrupp Uhde is positioning us as leaders in sustainable phosphate production. Together we are developing a unique phosphogypsumrecycling and CO2 capturing complex at Ras Al Khair, with an innovative patented concept. Through partnership, we are leveraging innovation to turn waste material into a valuable resource.
