Maaden approach to Human Rights
Maaden’s approach to human rights issues is guided by international human rights standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Where these principles set standards which are higher than those required under the national jurisdictions where we operate, we will seek to respect these standards and honor their principles to the fullest extent possible, within the bounds of the national laws.
Details of how we put these commitments and principles into practice are available in our Human Rights Policy and our Human Rights Due Diligence statement, which outline how we integrate human rights into our daily work and how we engage with our stakeholders. These are supported by specific public positions on diversity, equity and inclusion, collective bargaining, our approach to land-connected tribal peoples, and displacement and resettlement.
